Ofsted Reports
We were last inspected in January 2026. Schools no longer receive an overall grade but are now judged on a 5 point scale in 7 areas. We are very proud of the grades we have received, which represents the tireless work of pupils, staff, governors and the school community to ensure pupils attend a safe and happy school where all can achieve their potential. Ofsted states ‘Expected Standard’ signifies a “high-performing school doing everything it should." According to Ofsted’s rubric, the next grade up, ‘Strong Standard’, marks out “excellent, consistent work that’s making a real difference for children and learners." As you will see from our report, our school was judged as 'Strong Standard' in 5 out of 7 areas, with two areas being 'Expected Standard', reflecting the excellence of Backworth Park Primary School.
