At Backworth Park Primary School, we believe that delivering high quality PSHE and RSE curriculum is vital in providing children with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes, values and skills they need in order to reach their potential as individuals and within the community. Children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities and experiences across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life of our school and communities. We believe in teaching our children the knowledge and skills they need to develop and maintain healthy relationships and ways to ensure that they are able to safeguard themselves. In doing so, they learn to recognise their own worth, work well with others and become increasingly responsible for their own learning.
