Our geography provision aims to create excitement, inspire curiosity, and promote deep thinking about the world pupils live in. It aims to enable the children to make sense of their own surroundings through learning about their own locality and inspire their interest and knowledge through learning about contrasting localities across Britain, Europe and the World.

They are given the opportunity to formulate questions, develop research skills and evaluate material to help inform opinions about the relationship between Earth and its people, including human and physical features, the influence of the environment on human behaviour and lifestyles and the natural resources people use.

They are also provided with a range of fieldwork opportunities including making observations and measuring and recording these observations through maps, discussion, writing, taking photographs, sketches and diagrams to help them to apply their geographical skills and provide enrichment through first-hand experiences of the world.
