RESPECT. RESILIENCE. RESPONSIBILITY.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental health first aid is a program whereby school staff are trained to identify the risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in children. It teaches the importance of identifying the issue, the importance of early intervention and how to help a young person who is in crisis. Mental health first aid is a practical skills-based education program that equips whole school communities with the skills and confidence needed to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.
